Rugby Sevens Wellington

This is a fantastic event and happens every February in Wellington. Because New Zealand excells at this sport it makes it all the more exciting and the crowd in Wellington gets behind the boys completely. Dressing up helps people get into the atmosphere and ensures a good time is had. If I won Lotto I would follow the Rugby Sevens around the world to: Australia, Dubai, South Africa, New Zealand, USA, Hong Kong, Japan,Scotland, and England. All in one year.

Booking is essential for this event, tickets sell out within hours of release, accommodation is also hard to come by. We drive down from Auckland in the Motorhome and have no problems with accommodation. But I suggest you book at least 3 months in advance to ensure you have somewhere to stay. When we are visiting Wellington we often free camp at Worser Bay, this is a lovely spot when the weather is nice.

They say if you get bored at the 7's you can always watch the rugby. And the rugby is almost continuous with world class teams playing.
